About Xenogears

Xenogears was made by the makers of Final Fantasy series and is a game that any hardcore RPG fan should know about.

There were many doubts whether or not Xenogears would ever make its way to US due to some religues issues ... it thankfully did, comming out in 1997 (i think) but was overshadowed by the popular masterpiece Final Fantasy VII (which is also a graet game by the way). However all the people living in PAL regions (Australia and UK) never got a chance to play this game, unless they imported it or got a pirated copy,

... but anyway,

Xenogears became popular not because of its great graphics (coz the graphics ain't very impressive) but because of its beautiful music, good characters, nice hand drawn manga cut-scenes/CG-moves and last but not least ... its great, yet mysterious storyline.

Note:

The game took most people over 70 hours to pass, which is about twice as long as most Final Fantasy games, which is a great value for money and a well done job for fitting it onto just two cd's.

Xenogears is a very rare game (not even I have an original copy), which not so long ago was being sold 'second hand' on e-bay and other sites for as much as $100+ which is a lot for an old second hand game. Thankfully a few months ago Squaresoft decided to release some more copies of the game on their internet site ending this 'Xenogears shortage madness' once and for all ... well not really they are all sold out already :-(

Hope this will give you an idea what Xenogears is and why it's so popular among RPG fans. If you have any questions or comments then feel free to contact me on my e-mail.

Thank you.
